CATCH FISH, SHOOT GUNS

Kids can catch fish at a fishing pond. Pellet gun shooting will happen at a shooting trailer. You can see live animals. And, after a one-year hiatus, wild trout will be swimming in tanks inside the building!

VMS mandated for commercial fishing vessels in Costa Rican waters

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica and FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., USA (September 7, 2009) — New regulations enacted by INCOPESCA, the Costa Rican fisheries agency, will require electronic vessel monitoring systems (VMS) on all commercial vessels larger than 56 ft. that operate in Costa Rican waters. These rules were published on August 5 and all affected vessels must have operational systems within six months of that date.

Scottish anglers keen on helping protect sharks, rays and skates

The SSACN / SSTP Tagathon will take place over the weekend 14th/ 15th of November.

The Tagathon is part of our ongoing campaign to highlight the issues around the stocks of spurdog and common skate in Loch Sunart, Loch Etive and surrounding waters as well as raise the public awareness of the urgent need for protection of Scotland’s critically endangered sharks, rays and skate.

FLW Outdoors modifies FLW Tour schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2009) – FLW Outdoors has announced a change with the fourth qualifying tournament for 2010 on the FLW Tour schedule. The stop will move from Lake Chickamauga in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Knoxville, Tenn., and will be held on Ft. Loudoun/Tellico lakes. The dates of the tournament will also be moved from April 15-18 to April 22-25.
